Why we're excited?

Let us count the ways: original ‘X-Men’ director Bryan Singer is back along with the casts of both the original series and the recent prequel (前传) (so that's Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and way too many more to count) for a time-hopping adventure.

What could wrong?

With that many characters running about it could get confusing, and Singer's post 'X-Men' work (‘Valkyrie’, ‘Jack the Giant Slaver') hasn't been great. But anyone who says they're not excited for this one is absolutely a massive liar（说谎者）。

Maleficent

Why we're excited

Because no matter what six-year-old girls tell you, Disney villainesses(坏女人)are way more interesting than Disney princesses. And Angelina Jolie is frankly terrifying in the trailer(预告片) as Maleficent---the evil fairy from ‘Sleeping Beauty'.

What could wrong?

Recent live action films of fairytales haven't exactly dazzled. ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ bored us brainless and ‘Mirror Mirror’ rambled. Could ‘Maleficent’ be the exception?

                              Edge of Tomorrow

Why we're excited

Okay, we admit it. We're a little bit excited at the prospect of seeing Tom Cruise get killed on the battlefield a 100 times lighting aliens. This sci-fi-meets- ‘Groundhog Day’ concept finds him I replaying the same day over and over.

What could wrong?                                                              

Everything that usually goes wrong with big summer movies—blockbuster bloat. Could this be another smashy-smashy film with forgettable characters?

The Wind Rises

Why we're excited? 

Because this is the final film from one of the world's truly original filmmakers, ‘Spirited Away’ director Hayao Miyazaki. Unusually for animation, it's a biopic - looking at the life of WW2 Japanese aviation inventor Jiro Horikoshi.

What could wrong?

Um… good question. Little kids who love ‘My Neighbour Totoro’ might not thrill to the tale of a real-life warplane designer but pretty much everyone else ought to be charmed.
